nothing to be seen here (a closed practice) is a commissioned text for Shared Grounds, an outdoor exhibition in Hunter's Point South Park, Long Island City, presented by the Finnish Cultural Institute in New York (FCINY) and Flux Factory. It is a dialogue unfolding between a girl and her grandmother. The grandmother recites a story of how she changed dimensions.The piece works through the practice of giving oral tradition written form, a process that leaves it open to exploitation, especially in digital environments. I sealed the text in a time capsule and buried it on-site on June 28, 2025 as a protective ritual, an attempt to restore its dignity. The text was published in the exhibition publication, the Shared Grounds zine.
